Peach Ice Cream (MK)
A colleague shared an ice cream recipe that she had been tweaking, and I decided to try it, with some late-season peaches.
Her version is based on the recipe by David Lebovitz. The differences are that she omits the water, uses only 1/2 cup heavy cream, replaces the sour cream with 1 cup yogurt, and replaces vanilla with peach brandy.
This ice cream was pretty good, nice a tangy, with a good peach flavour. But I didn’t like the Archer’s Peach Schnapps I used, too artificial. I’d make this again, but with a more natural peach brandy.
